Ingredients

for 1 serving

  • 1 packet instant cold noodles, with broth
  • 8 oz steak, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Bimbim Sauce

  • ½ large asian pear, sliced or cubed
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 3 green onion stalks, chopped into 2-inch pieces
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ⅓ cup gochugaru, (Korean hot pepper flakes)
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • pear, for garnish, optional
  • cucumber, for garnish, optional
  • kimchi, for garnish, optional

Preparation

  1. Cook the cold noodle packet according to package instructions. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the steak, gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil.
  3. Cook on medium heat in a skillet until the steak reaches desired temperature, then set aside to cool.
  4. In a blender or food processor, blend together all the bibim sauce ingredients.
  5. Assemble in a bowl: Add the cooked noodles, bibim sauce, sliced pear, steak, cucumber, and finish with broth from the cold noodle packet.
